“Avoid the All or Nothing Trap. Even if you can’t make it to the gym as often as you might like, make it in as often as you can. Doing it all or not doing anything are not your only options.”
“Do What You Can, When You Can. Even on those days when you can’t make it into the club, make it a point to stay active. Do your best to walk 20 minutes, twice a day. Last year, one of our members needed to take a two-week break from the club, but she committed to walking her dog for 30 minutes every night. That simple declaration reinforced her commitment to staying healthy—and she did!”
Vanessa says the secret is to keep your eye on the prize: “Before you know it, we’ll be celebrating the Fourth of July! How you look and feel will depend on how you take care of yourself in the days and weeks between now and then!”
